Space Clearing

Space clearing can be used in two ways: to clear negative energies that have built up in a property (known as 'Predecessor Chi') and to bless new buildings.

Predecessor Chi

Buildings are like emotional sponges: they soak up the atmosphere.

However, buildings don't keep these charged up sponges to themselves.  They will wash you with them.

You don't need to be overly sensitive to walk into a room and realise that the people inside have been arguing.  Or perhaps you have a friend who's home you always feel welcome in? 

More importantly, this emotional charge can build up over time: years, decades or even centuries!  And, if you live in a place like this, you may find that those emotions become your emotions.

Space clearing can clear Predecessor Chi from a property before you move in (whether it's your own house or rented) or periodically in a building to keep the energy refreshed and clear.

Blessings

There are many traditions that suggest asking the land for permission before digging it up or building on it.  Gaining permission ensures that the work will go smoothly. 

Likewise, when the building is completed, giving thanks to the land and dedicating the building ensures the relationship between land, building and its inhabitants will be a good one.

Such traditions should not be allowed to disappear.

Blessing your newly built house, office, factory or shop will set you off on the right foot.  And the building doesn't have to be newly built: a fresh start, whether it's personal or business, can be blessed along with the  change of location.
